In an American suburb a dance teacher mysteriously misses class, leaving a studio full of middle-school-aged girls unsupervised. Teetering between provisional utopia and hostile island, the group must renegotiate their relationship to movement, mastery, and desire. The Choice Part is a dance-play populated with choreographed movement, improvisation, feral understandings, and imperfect vantage points. The audience is invited into a stage where figures seek to grasp the contracts their bodies fell into without ever knowing they signed.  

Collectively created and performed by Tina Bararian, Mack Lawrence, Susan Moon, Olivia Mullins, Mars Ramon, Isabella White and Sacha Vega.
